“The Enable Ireland and Disability Federation of Ireland joint Discussion Paper, “Assistive Technology for People with Disabilities and Older People”, is a  provocative and innovative initiative that deserves to be embraced, not just by assistive technology users, service providers and our political leadership, but also by Irish society generally.  Most of us use – or will use – assistive technology, daily, often several types together.  This report positions Ireland to engage in a collective, collaborative conversation on how best to provide access to the technologies that will enable an increasing number of people to live fulfilling lives.  The report is both about now and the future; and now is the time to act on it.”
